Reporting to the CFO.you will be joining a dynamic team, to support the growth of the company's worldwide activities, taking ownership of the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
You will work closely with theCFO and other senior stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation's mission and goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the deputy to the CFO when needed, managing a small finance team, providing timely and accurate financial management information: management accounts, finance report, KPIs.
- Working closely with the CFO to aid decisionmaking producing scenario analysis and liaising with other departments, to provide financial management, guidance, and information on all aspects of financial management, reporting and forecasting and analysisof new initiatives.
- Optimising and implementing improvements to systems, financial processes, reporting and business performance, including working with teams to implement new finance system and Power BI reporting.
- Producing of monthly reporting pack finance report, management accounts and KPIs, quarterly balance sheet for the board and working on committee initiatives and suggestions for improvements in finance area.
- Responsible for month end close, performed by direct reports. Managing the year end audit and first point contact for audit and tax.
- Annual statutory accounts production and glossy accounts including sustainability reporting in statutory accounts.
- Managing banking, cashflow and payment runs and assisting in management of foreign exchange exposures.
- Reviewing of quarterly VAT return with management accountant, submission of returns. Responsible for all aspects audit, VAT, corporation tax, payroll outsourcing, including working with VAT advisors on irrecoverable VAT etc.
- Supporting Investment board and liaising with external consultants on performance and ESG reporting.
- A Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in controllership position and experience of accounting system change/implementation are advantageous.
- A natural team player with welldeveloped interpersonal skills, able to promote good team working and cooperation.
- Good communication skills, as will work closely with departments, Leadership team and committees.
- Strong written skills with excellent grammar required as writing reports is part of the role.
- Strong understanding and use of MS Excel with frequently use pivots, and lookups.
- An inquisitive 'cando' mindset that is numerically strong and continuously challenges and seeks process improvement.
- Experience of MS-Dynamics CRM is desirable.
