We are currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join and support the growth of our landscape team, based across the UK and Ireland.

As a member of one of the UK and Ireland's largest and most diverse landscape practices, you will support and take a lead on a range of types and scales of projects, including renewable energy, transport and infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes.

These projects offer the opportunity to work in small multi-disciplinary teams, influencing design from an early stage and shaping the landscape on a broad scale, while supporting progress towards net zero and delivering wider environmental and social benefits.


We will consider applicants with a wide range of experience and a keen and demonstrable interest in landscape planning, including LVIA and TVIA.

The successful candidate would be involved in site survey in Scotland and throughout the UK and may also have the opportunity to support in delivering our current portfolio of overseas projects.


The role is also flexible on location, and we would be interested to hear from applicants seeking either a part time or full-time position.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job/project tasks:

  • Undertake site survey and analysis in the field.
  • Be client facing and respond to client requirements with the support of senior staff.
  • Technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance to teach and develop junior staff.
  • Be aware of and understand the AECOM procedures, their importance and their application to projects.


Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute, ideally with at least two years post Chartership experience, although more recently qualified candidates with excellent technical abilities will be considered.


  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the UK planning systems with respect to landscape architecture. Understanding of Irish planning system also beneficial.
  • An understanding of project management, including financial control and reporting and programme management.
  • Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Landscape Institute accredited Bachelor's degree, Diploma and/or Master's degree.
