Tasked to deliver Scottish and National Government funded programmes; CEIS Ayrshire seeks to raise the employment rates in the areas in which it operates and beyond.

We seek to increase confidence, skills and employability of clients/customers and enable them to compete in the current labour market.

Due to continued growth CEIS Ayrshire are looking to recruit a Trainer/Assessor.


The role involves working effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality tailored employability and vocational training to a wide range of clients.

The primary focus of the role is group training across the spectrum of CEIS Ayrshire delivery.

Tasks required of the successful applicant:

  • Delivery of ongoing effective employability and vocational training to a wide range of learner groups at CEIS Ayrshire geographical centres and partner premises to meet programme specifications.
  • Assessing of SQA and other awarding body qualifications as required.
  • Working closely with managers and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service/best practice in the delivery of training programmes and courses.
  • Development of training materials for delivery of training/programmes and research new programmes from identified needs.
  • Update and maintain learner information to enable the monitoring of impacts and outcomes and evaluate the services delivered to clients.
  • Network with partner organisations to develop and improve services and opportunities offered to clients and maintain a proactive approach in contributing positively to the services' ongoing development.
  • Promote and market the services of the project to client groups

Qualifications, skills, and experience required

  • Appropriate training qualification and/or relevant experience in delivery of Employability and/or Vocational training (Essential)
  • Appropriate assessing qualification and experience of assessing (Essential)
  • Experience of developing training materials and planning training delivery (Essential)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (Essential)
  • Excellent presentation skills (Essential)
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach (Essential)
  • Ability to relate to learners at all levels and have a nonjudgemental, client centred approach (Essential)
  • Organisational and IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages, relevant to personal workload (Essential)
  • Ability to work as integral team member and on own initiative (Essential)
  • Due to wide delivery area, driving Licence and own transport would be essential

Salary:
From £25,000.00 per year
