About Us


Young Epilepsy is the only UK charity dedicated to creating better lives for children and young people with epilepsy and related conditions and is based on a beautiful campus in Lingfield, Surrey, providing world class services.


Your role

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver and teach art within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) programme of the college.
  • Include aspects of the wider curriculum incorporating: Independence, Community Inclusion, Employment, Health and Wellbeing.
  • Deliver accredited art courses within the college qualification framework.
  • Collaborate with the vocational team in terms of sharing arts facilities, resources, and equipment.
  • Take responsibility to research and organise continuing professional development.
  • Attend and maintain training and qualifications to allow the safe delivery of an interesting and broad arts programme that meets the needs of all students.
  • Undertake assessments of potential and existing students.
  • Organise and contribute to the planning and delivery of art events. This will include both hosting events on campus and attending off campus events.
  • Establish links with external agencies and other colleges to increase opportunities for all students.


With a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent post 16 qualification, or a teaching qualification with relevant specialism, you will have experience of planning and delivering learning to post-16 students in a similar SEN environment.


An excellent team player, with a willingness to provide personal care to students, you have a flexible approach to your work, great communication skills and the ability to line manage staff.

We are accessible by bus, by train via the East Grinstead branch of the Oxted Line and by car and offer free parking on our campus.
