The Role:
As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our exceptional teaching staff and helping to deliver exceptional science education to our students.
You will have the opportunity to assist in the development and delivery of hands-on and exciting science lessons, igniting curiosity and enthusiasm among our young learners.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with science teachers to plan and deliver interactive and stimulating science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Provide individual and small group support to students, ensuring they grasp scientific concepts and theories effectively.
- Assist in the preparation and setting up of laboratory equipment and materials for experiments and practical activities.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and scientific investigations, encouraging students to think critically and analytically.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to students, nurturing their interest in science and supporting their personal growth.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and teachers.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative teaching resources and activities to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements:
- A degree in a Sciencerelated discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, etc.).
- Strong passion for science and a desire to share your knowledge and enthusiasm with young learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with students and staff effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage various tasks and priorities efficiently.
- A genuine interest in education and a commitment to making a positive impact in students' lives.
- Prior experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
