We're currently seeking an independent co-opted member of the Investment Committee on an initial one year fixed-term contract.

The Committee is an important independent committee of the organisation and serves to provide oversight to all investment mattersat the PPF.


Committee Members are required to read detailed papers in advance of meetings, typically held five or six times a year, and bring independent insight and guidance to ensure appropriate management of risk within the organisation.


Individuals should have experience in decision making at a senior level, i.e., as a Chief Investment Officer (or equivalent) from an investment organisation.

Those currently acting at a CIO level would be especially of interest to us.


You'll be experienced attending investment committees at a financial organisation with significant assets and influencing decisions from your extensive experience within the investment industry.

Additionally, you'll understand what a Co-opted role entailsand have an awareness of what's required to provide meaningful contributions in committee meetings.

The Investment Committee ("the Committee") is a Committee of the Board of the Pension Protection Fund.

It is established under paragraph 15 of Schedule 5 to the Pensions Act 2004 ("the Act") and the Board has authorised the Committee to discharge certaininvestment functions on its behalf under paragraph 17 of Schedule 5 to the Act.

Co-opted members are paid £500 per meeting they attend.

Meetings take place in person typically at our office in London Cannon Street, or occasionally by telephone / video conferencing.
