An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Monmouthshire.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This mental health service is a hospital that provides medium and low secure care for males and females with mental illnesses and/or personality disorders and for males with intellectual/learning disabilities

You must be a Post-graduate in clinical or forensic psychology and hold a Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Psychologist

As the Psychologist your key responsibilities include:

  • You will be responsible for providing high quality clinical assessments
  • Support with the delivery of a full ward programme which will include facilitating groups and managing a case load of patient for individual therapy sessions
  • Use a range of psychological therapies including dialectical behavioural therapy
  • Will be involved in Risk Assessments and Management
  • Delivering full programme for groups and individuals for therapy primarily using DBT/CBT, Risk Assessments and Management
  • Contributing to professional development within the direct and wider hospital team
  • Contributing to audit and research as directed by the line manager
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Good communication skills written and verbally
  • Experience of working in a Forensic setting
  • Experience in at least one therapeutic modality
  • Experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users
  • An enthusiastic and highly patient focused team constantly striving be the best
  • Being part of a network of psychologists working across the company's healthcare services
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary up to £45,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
