Responsibilities

  • Delivering highquality computer science lessons to students, ensuring that the curriculum is effectively taught and students make progress
  • Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support student development
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide a cohesive and holistic approach to students' education
  • Keeping uptodate with the latest developments in computer science education and implementing new teaching techniques where appropriate
  • Participating in staff meetings, parentteacher conferences, and other school events as required
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Experience teaching computer science at the primary or secondary level
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures in computer science
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using computer science software and hardware
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying uptodate with the latest developments in education and computer science
