Honda Racing Corporation has launched Honda Racing Corporation UK Ltd. (HRC UK) in the UK to handle post-race maintenance tasks on F1 power units and as a logistics hub for Europe, supporting the partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.

The role focuses on the operation and reliability of power units at trackside and in the factory to aid in the development of F1 engines on dyno and in compliance with regulations.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee each Power-Unit operation and data control (ICE and ERS system)
  • Provide support in the mission control room for trackside operations
  • Understand and implement updated control specifications, create, and configure control data
  • Optimize control data settings based on running results
  • Conduct Engine Fire up procedures
  • Set up and monitor data while operating Power-Unit
  • Report any faults detected
  • Generate daily reports and trackside feedback
  • Ensure proper processes and procedures for PU work on the track, assist in track-side tool development, and provide feedback to factory members
  • Assist PU engineers at the trackside
  • Support dyno testing activities in Japan, UK, and other customer sites
  • May require training in Japan
  • Perform any other tasks as needed by the Company


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
  • Understanding of F1 Power Units
  • Ability to analyze data for Power-Unit reliability and performance
  • Proficiency in fault finding and diagnostics
  • Previous track-side experience
  • Excellent document presentation skills
  • Familiarity with analysis tools like ATLAS and System Monitor
  • Strong communication skills, building relationships across different cultures
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Knowledge of Japanese or another European language is advantageous
  • PC literate
  • UK driving license is required
  • Willingness to travel internationally
