Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment providing a high standard of care in a stage 2 post-anaesthetic care unit. The successful applicant will work as part of a team of nurses providing pre and post-op care to patients undergoing elective surgical procedures. You must possess excellent communication and Interpersonal skills and demonstrate a caring, supportive and professional attitude.
Main duties of the job
Ensure patient episode of care is delivered in a safe and timely manner. Implement Trust policies and protocols. Monitor and maximise the use of resources within your sphere of responsibility, including the safe use of equipment. Ensure the quality standards of care are implemented in line with the Care Group and Trust aims and objectives. Contribute in the development and maintenance of patient information systems. Collect and enter data onto the theatre computer system in an accurate and timely way. Communicate information to relevant disciplines. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times in line with the Data Protection Act and your code of conduct. Ensure compliance with the Trust's Risk Management Policies and Procedures. Comply with national and local infection control policies and procedures and any other related infection prevention policies or procedures. Participate in the implementation and evaluation of new developments and be aware of service needs, quality and assurance programmes. Actively promote research awareness and participate in research based projects and working groups as required. Ability to problem solve and escalate to appropriate level.About us
