About the role


In your new role as the IT Manager, you'll lead the Miele GB IT function and ensure a superb IT service level on a national basis.


You'll be responsible for making key business decisions, as well as improving the technical skills of your team and ensuring they function as a high performing unit.

You'll use a proactive, future-first approach to ensure that decisions are in-line with both medium and long-term objectives.


You'll develop a comprehensive strategy for IT that is aligned with our global directive and meets stakeholder needs and priorities.

You'll transfer your knowledge to your teams and act as the expert when it comes to IT systems, choosing which solutions will work best across the business.


You'll support and manage both IT and technical systems, maintaining relationships between the internal customers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate changes, as well as the delivery of subsequent support.

You'll take operational responsibility for service levels for key IT requirements in the business and ensure IT decisions are aligned to overall business goals and objectives.

You'll also develop the IT service strategy and ensure decisions are scalable, actionable and future-proofed.

You'll have:

  • Extensive experience of people management in an IT setting
  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems and related services
  • ITrelated certification, e.g. Azure, ITIL
  • A focus on developing your people and ensuring they are aligned with your strategy
  • An excellent ability to see the big picture and translate this into actions which will improve the level of service
  • Experience in the management of a technical support team.
  • Understanding when it comes to the importance of developing, providing and achieving Service Level Agreements
  • A strong customer service ethos
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
