Job Introduction

Lansdowne Secure Children's home is one of the only 14 in the UK and is a modern, state of the art building with excellent and diverse facilities.

We are looking for a Housekeeper to assist with the day to day running of this excellent facility, working from 6:30am - 11:30am Monday to Friday.


The post holder will undertake general cleaning and domestic duties to the required standard in accordance with agreed schedules/rotas of work, either individually or as part of a team.

Some Core duties are listed below, but for a full list, please read the Job description:

  • Be responsible for the cleaning of designated areas, to include cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuming, laundry, this will include toilets and associated facilities.
  • Operate, where necessary, appropriate powered equipment to undertake the main duties of the post e.g. carpet cleaning equipment
  • Deep clean the building, or areas of the building, as instructed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ability to adhere to a cleaning programme
  • Ability to work to required standards
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work with mínimal supervision and work independently.
Interviews will take place face to face on Friday 24 May 2024

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
