Exciting Opportunity as a Newly Qualified and Level 1 Social Worker

We are on the lookout for Level 1 and Newly Qualified Social Workers interested in joining our dynamic Family Assessment and Support Teams operating in Lincoln, South and North Kesteven, West Lindsey, and East Lindsey South.

Passionate Individuals Welcomed

Are you an ambitious, enthusiastic, and, above all, passionate Social Worker? Do you firmly believe that prioritizing the well-being of children is a critical factor for positive outcomes for both children and families? If your answer is a resounding yes to those questions, then Lincolnshire County Council might just be the perfect place for you to thrive.

Childrens Social Work Excellence at Lincolnshire County Council

Our Childrens Social Work teams boast top-tier performance countrywide. With an overall Outstanding rating from Ofsted, we are immensely proud of our recent April 2023 inspection results which reinforced this exceptional judgement. Upholding our dedication to progress and growth, every team member exudes pride in the impactful work we carry out.

Our operational model, known as "Signs of Safety," is deeply rooted in a commitment to restorative practice, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging and leveraging the strengths within families and support networks. Central to our approach is ensuring that the voice of the child remains the focal point of every plan.

Insights into the Role of a Level 1 Social Worker

As a Level 1 Social Worker within our teams, you will leverage your expertise to oversee a variety of cases, providing assessment and ongoing interventions while offering consistent support throughout the process. Collaborating directly with children, adolescents, families, and various partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for Lincolnshire's children and families. Working with families confronting diverse challenges, joining one of our FAST teams will expose you to a broad caseload, enabling personal and professional growth and enhancing your skills. Additionally, you will co-manage more complex cases under the guidance of seasoned Social Workers, ensuring informed decision-making in crucial moments.

Insights into the Role of a Newly Qualified Social Worker

We understand the significance of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) in your professional journey. Hence, our Newly Qualified Social Workers participating in the ASYE program receive a reduced workload to facilitate learning and growth opportunities. The structured program aims to enrich your skills, knowledge, and professional confidence.

Throughout the 12-month ASYE program, you will benefit from regular, high-quality reflective supervision sessions, undergo multiple observations involving service users and carers, complete Critical Reflection Logs to foster critical reflective practice, receive formal personal supervision, and engage in group learning sessions. These initiatives ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and training essential for completing your ASYE.
