About the Role and Company:
Join our team as a Residential Children's Services Team Leader at LCS, a prominent provider of semi-independent accommodation and support for young individuals transitioning from care. We are dedicated to helping young people lead independent lives and actualize their ambitions.

Our commitment involves furnishing young adults aged 16 and above, many of whom have faced challenging situations such as trauma and loss, with top-tier accommodation and guidance to foster a secure living environment.


Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this role, you will collaborate with our management staff in overseeing the daily operations at LCS.

Your primary responsibilities will entail supervising a team of support workers and engaging directly in support activities.

You will benefit from thorough support and mentoring provided by our seasoned Operations Managers, encompassing regular guidance and structured training sessions.

You should possess Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent certification
Have practical experience in aiding young people impacted by trauma and loss incidents
Hold experience in managing individuals dealing with behavioral and mental health challenges
Demonstrate proficiency in staff management
Exhibit the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Possess adept skills in nurturing relationships and prioritizing the well-being of young people in service planning and execution
Display exceptional leadership qualities
Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities:
To offer personalized support to several young individuals, enabling them to achieve their goals and attain independence
To provide leadership by conducting regular one-on-one and group supervisions with the support team
To showcase the service positively to a diverse audience including youth, families, and partner organizations
To contribute to the Out-of-Hours Duty Rota
To ensure timely preparation of staffing schedules and provision of backup in case of staff absence or illness
To lead the team in delivering a secure and top-notch service, along with chairing routine team meetings and embodying a positive and child-centric atmosphere
To draft, evaluate, and revise Initial Needs and Support Plans, Risk Assessments, and Critical Incident Reports
To act as a substitute for the Operations Manager as necessary
To liaise with young individuals and their parents/guardians, empowering them to make well-informed decisions and advocating for them when needed
To maintain connections with the community wherein the young person is placed
To assist young people in accessing education, employment, and volunteering prospects
