Are you an experienced Facilities Engineer with a strong background in maintaining complex systems within a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated engineer to join one of the worlds premier global automotive suppliers in Telford

Responsibilities:

Experience of managing and maintainng efficient operations of various systems including lighting, compressors, cooling towers, fire alarm systems, plumbing and ventilation.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all facilities equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise, minimising downtime and disruptions to the manufacturing process.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades or modifications.
Oversee the site security measures, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating risks.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing or repairs when necessary.
Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in facilities engineering, incorporating innovative solutions when applicable.

Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting systems
Previous leadership experience managing a team (e.g. contractors)
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to identify and resolve issues.
Ability to prioritisetasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of ISO
Certifications in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, or fire safety will be an advantage.
