Bendrigg Trust challenges perceptions of disability and brings about social change through fully accessible outdoor adventure activities.

Bendrigg is one of only a handful of specialist outdoor education centres in the country, enabling over 3,000 people with disabilities each year to achieve through adventure; developing their independence and discovering their full potential.


Situated just outside of Kendal, between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, Bendrigg's state of the art centre is ideally positioned to enable people to participate in a wide range of challenging activities such as climbing, caving and canoeing.

Whilst at Bendrigg, our visitors feel 'celebrated' rather than just 'accommodated' and we want no different for our staff. We understand that everyone is different and try to be as flexible as possible.

  • Holidays: Staff receive 30 days paid holiday (FTE, parttime prorata) plus bank holidays (prorata). (Up to 7 days required to be taken during the Christmas/New Year shut down period).

The role:
Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a positive and caring person to join our facilities team as a Domestic Assistant

Typical duties include:

  • Cleaning rooms, corridors, showers, toilets and other areas at our 64bed specialist outdoor centre.
  • Occasionally assisting with catering arrangements at the Centre including the serving of meals.


This is a part-time position, for 2 or 3 days per week, (7.25 hrs per day) to include Mondays and Fridays as well as occasional weekend work.


Typical shifts are:
07:00 - 15:15 (early shift)

08:4- 17:00 (day shift)
