Embedded Systems Architect (Crypt-Key) - Gloucester/Cheltenham

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Architect (Crypt-Key) to join an industry-leading team at a brand-new office to be based in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area.

This exceptional opportunity comes with an attractive package, including a salary ranging from £75,000 to £125,000, an electric vehicle as a company car, matched pension, and private medical. Key Experience:
  • Deep knowledge in Crypt-Key definition & design
  • Extensive CAPS product evaluation experience
  • Experience of leading/oversight of Crypt-Key software engineering team, providing essential guidance on threat mitigation, high assurance security, and engineering processes
  • Demonstrable track record of Crypt-Key mindset and domain understanding
Personal Competencies:
  • Minimum 10 years of high assurance software engineering experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Crypt-Key leadership role
  • Excellent attention to detail and motivation to uphold quality standards
  • Strong communication, team working skills, and ability to work independently
  • Adept at working under pressure and problem-solving
Required Technical Skills / Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or an equivalent STEM subject
  • Embedded C/C++ development skills
  • Extensive experience with MISRA compliance
  • Proficiency in Software Unit Test automation and tools such as LDRA, Parasoft
Desirable Technical Skills / Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant STEM degree
  • Experience with RUST, Ada SPARK, Cryptol, SAW
  • Conversant with IP standards and multi-threaded RTOS
Remuneration:
  • Salary ranging from £75,000 to £125,000 (DOE)
  • Matched Pension up to 12%
  • Private Medical

  • Matched Annual Leave to 29 days
  • 4x Death in Service benefit
Conditions:
  • This role requires the candidate to be a British Citizen and to obtain and retain an unconditional DV security clearance.
