Casual Football Coach

The Role
The department is accessed by students from across college and serves the whole college community.

Since the Sports Academies were first established in 1999, there have been notable successes.

The Boys Football Academy have been national champions twice, the Netball Academy have won numerous national competitions including the English National Schools three years in a row.

The Basketball Academy have also been national finalists.


The College is an AOC Sport Affiliated college and students from across the College represent the College in a number of Sports at both regional and national level.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • To take the College Football Academy team matches on Wednesdays, and training sessions on Mondays from and Fridays
  • To arrange and confirm fixtures
  • To book transport and referees for teams (Up to 1 hour of administration time given)
  • To drive teams to and from fixtures on the college minibus (15 or 17 seater) (Preferable not essential)
  • To pay referees using College Finance System and log attendance on the college CEDAR system

The sports department is looking for someone who has a football coaching certificate, passion for sport evidenced by performance or experience or higher study and has the ability to work as part of a team.


You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.


Terms and Conditions

Hours:10 hours per week from early September to early-May. Team matches on Wednesdays, and training sessions on Mondays from and Fridays , plus up to one hour for admin per week.

Salary:
£22 per hour plus holiday pay. Salary is paid on a claim basis for hours worked.
