Job Summary:

A unique opportunity is available for a Regional Band 7 Full-Time Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a tertiary service covering 6 Health Boards in South East and West Wales. This position is based in West Wales, serving Hywel Dda, Powys, and Swansea Bay Health Boards. The establishment of the HCC service marks a significant advancement in patient care.

We are seeking a nurse with experience in oncology care to work within specialized hepatology teams liaising closely with local cancer lead nurses, oncology, hepatobiliary, and interventional radiology teams.

The role involves active participation in the HCC Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure proper patient management and communication of outcomes.

Main Duties of the Job:

The primary objective is to establish and implement a seamless patient care pathway from diagnosis to treatment within the HCC cancer pathway. The focus is on enhancing the patient journey and providing support as a key worker throughout.

You will collaborate with Hepatologists and Hepatology CNS to maintain clear communication and documentation following Health Board guidelines while preserving patient confidentiality.

Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this role; English and/or Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.
