Hours:
Monday - Friday, Zero hour contract, term time only.
Usually - 2 shifts a week during term time if schools booked in. Each shift is 3 hours long and will be in the morning.
Location:
John Radcliffe Hospital - OX3 9DU - Base
Horton Hospital - OX16 9AL and local schools and minor injuries units in Oxfordshire

About the Trust

What you'll be responsible for:
- Deliver/facilitate a high quality, planned and scripted injury prevention programme in schools and hospitals across the whole of Oxfordshire.
- Comply with the Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
- Liaise with peers, school and office staff to deliver wellcoordinated high quality I.M.P.S. visits within the agreed session time.
- Replenish/replace stores/supplies and equipment needed for the delivery of the I.M.P.S. programme.
- Ability to travel to schools and hospitals county wide.
- Duty to express and discuss any concerns or issues affecting the team or running the programme with the programme coordinator.
- Complete evaluation procedures at the end of a session.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Practical experience of working with children, young people and adults.
- Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage with children and young people and establish a rapport in a short space of time.
- An understanding of the importance of injury prevention education for children and young people.
- An understanding of the needs of children within an educational situation.
- Practical experience of 'teaching' children/young people in an educational group setting.
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience._
