You will help train staff in use of a new outcomes-based care plan tool, and evaluate the effectiveness of this change.

You should be comfortable delivering group-based and 1:1 training, and expertise in the use of electronic record systems would be an advantage.

You will have excellent evaluation skills, including data analysis and outcomes presentation.


Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust strives to deliver mental health in an innovative way in Essex, having managed to co-produce a model of service delivery with our various commissioners, partner providers and service users.


Psychological Services are supporting Trust staff through provision of a unique Goal-attainment-scale-based care planning tool on the electronic record for our service users.

We have completed a number of successful pilots.

We are looking for two Project Support Officers to deliver training in use of the approved tool, and to contribute to the organisation, delivery and evaluation of this programme.

You will need to encourage clinicians to embrace goal-based outcomes and needs-based care planning, which requires quite a culture shift.

This post will require the ability to work across the Trust, and will require travel between sites, so having access to a car or means of travel is important.

It will give you good exposure to, and understanding of, the various intervention teams and services provided in mental health care, and will be an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to develop their career in clinical intervention, or project support and delivery.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.


All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
