We have partnered with a renowned food manufacturer in Northwest UK, known for its high-quality products and commitment to innovation.

This well-established company seeks a talented Quality Assurance Manager to join their dynamic team and gain experience with leading UK retailers.

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will report to the Site Technical Manager and oversee the company's quality assurance processes.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead a dedicated team, manage quality control procedures, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation for traceability and conformance.
  • Ensure consistent daily process controls and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Oversee the taste panel system to minimize product recalls.
  • Enforce hygiene standards through swabbing programs and spot checks.
  • Implement initiatives to minimize microbiological contamination.
  • Lead and develop Quality Control personnel.
  • Uphold food safety standards through HACCP processes.
  • Ensure raw material quality and verify authenticity.
  • Maintain food quality through line standards and taste panels.
  • Ensure employee training and compliance with policies.
  • Support site strategy and business plans.
  • Liaise with customers and auditors during visits.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND in Food Technology or related discipline.
  • Advanced Food Safety Certificate.
  • Intermediate HACCP qualification.
* 3 years in a Quality/Technical management role.
* 5 years in food manufacturing, including chilled food production.

  • Strong ability to work under pressure and effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, computer literacy, report writing, and investigative skills.
