Head of Marketing and Communications

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a highly growth-minded, multi disciplined, and experienced Head of Marketing and Communications to join our mid-sized group at Helix International Group a risk and compliance consulting and SAAS enterprise software group of companies.

As a founder-led entrepreneurial business, we are dedicated to pursuing growth initially in the UK in the dynamic and rapidly expanding risk compliance software market.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing a marketing capability, managing the complete marketing mix, with a strong focus on driving our growth strategy through both conventional and non-conventional marketing practices.

As a key member of our team, your duties will encompass a wide range of marketing activities, including brand awareness, lead generation, strategic partnerships, and customer retention.

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the growth strategy set by the board of directors, positioning our business as a segment leader, thought leader, and technical know-how at the very forefront of the industry.


  • Implement a variety of marketing practices including product marketing, acquisition and retention strategies, to drive customer growth and satisfaction.
  • Utilise various communication channels, including social media, email marketing, content
marketing, and public relations, to effectively deliver key messages to both clients and potential candidates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer success, to implement and align marketing efforts and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and report on key marketing metrics, providing valuable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in marketing strategies and tactics.
Increased brand awareness and recognition in the risk compliance software market segment serviced.

  • Successful implementation of marketing strategies to drive new customer acquisition and customer growth and satisfaction.
  • Effective communication of key messages to both clients and potential candidates through various channels.
  • Alignment of marketing efforts with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in marketing performance.
Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Qualities:

  • Strong evidence of continuous professional development and expertise in Marketing and communications for software.
  • Demonstration of big accomplishments across the marketing mix eg initiatives to position the brand as a thought leader.
  • Strong evidence of achievements and career trajectory that strongly supports a very promotable candidate.
  • Proven experience and track record in marketing and communications roles in mid sized software companies scaling up, in the SAAS B2B software industry marketing to mid and large companies, lite and enterprise ESSENTIAL
  • Know-how in marketing software applications that solve a companywide problem eg. Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies
  • High Proficiency to understand tools to support digital marketing and communications eg. HubSpot, WordPress
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions
  • Highly successful at creative thinking, problem-solving and course correction to reach goals
  • Strong leadership and Marketing management planning skills
