CNC Turner - Programmer

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm (40hour week)

Salary: Up to 35,000

I am currently working with a well known organization based within the Sheffield area who are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator with experience of setting Mazak or Fanuc CNC machinery

Role Description

Working for the world leading manufacturer and distributor of bolts, studs & industrial fasteners. With several sites spanning the entire globe.

As the CNC Setter you will be responsible to safely set/operate machinery used in the production of large and small batch work, supplying industries such as Rail, Oil, Power Generation & Nuclear.

General Scope of work

• Set up, edit and operate Mazak and Mori Seiki CNC Machinery
• Turning experience essential, Milling experience beneficial
• To set and operate CNC machines with mazatrol and fanuc controls
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
• Report any tooling requirements to your immediate supervisor
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
• Undertake any other duties of a similar level or nature as requested.

Qualifications/Experience/Interests:

• Previous experience of programming, setting, and running CNC machines.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment
• Essential in Mazak or Fanuc machining knowledge
• Welding experience is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools for assembly and adjustments
• Ability to commute to Sheffield on a daily basis
