Are you looking to join a Primary School to work 1:1 and with small groups of students?
Would you like to gain valuable experience before progressing into a teaching career?
If yes, this long-term KS1 Teaching Assistant post could be for you.
The main duties within the role will be:
Help maintain a well-organized, tidy, pupil friendly and interactive learning environment.
Maintaining high standards of display.
Working 1:1 and with small groups to deliver Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics interventions.
Engaging SEN pupils and encouraging interaction with lessons and the curriculum.
Liaising with the class teacher to feedback on progress.
The school are looking to appoint someone who:
Holds a degree or equivalent qualification.
Has an understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the needs of children.
Is experienced in working with children in a school environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a challenging but rewarding role and successful applicants will have excellent opportunities for progression.
