Job Title: Junior DevOps Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a proactive Junior DevOps Engineer to join our Development Team. If you have a solid background in IT support and aspire to grow in a collaborative and nurturing setting, this role is tailored for you. You will be instrumental in software troubleshooting, network management, and infrastructure support, with a focus on cloud services and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively monitor infrastructure health and performance utilizing custom dashboards and Azure Log Analytics Workspace.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Machines and VMware virtual machines, including provisioning and configuration.
  • Configure and manage Azure cloud-based services, including App Services and Application Gateways.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of documentation for infrastructure setup, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with SecOps to uphold platform stability and security, following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to boost application performance through infrastructure enhancements.
  • Enhance and manage automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Employ strategies for optimizing infrastructure costs while ensuring performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in scripting, particularly with PowerShell and Az CLI.
  • Strong IT support background with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and systems administration.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and familiarity with VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in networking principles and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.

Permanent position with hybrid working model, two days in the office per week, Monday to Friday schedule with on-call options.
