We are looking for a new member of our Compliance Team at Harrogate.

As a Compliance Premises Officer, you will be joining a proactive team dedicated to delivering an effective and efficient programme of planned preventative maintenance and the related compliance contracts in the Councils operational buildings.

You need to be motivated, organised and have a structured approach and be capable of creative thinking using techniques to maintain and improve efficiency to ensure legal and technical compliance to our public buildings.

You will need to be able to manage your own time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team, meet with clients and contractors, run reports, and report to the department manager.

You will be responsible for managing the tasks for each site assigned to you to ensure the site is compliant in respect of the councils required standard and all tasks are complete and correctly documented in the councils file system.

You will be the representative for your team and be expected to reflect the high standards and integrity of it.

Duties will include

  • Take responsibility of sites and properties to monitor progress and compliance through routine visits Conduct operational duties to various sites around Harrogate
  • Carry out or arrange minor/temporary repairs to maintain business continuity
  • Schedule and assign works to the relevant service personnel Liaise with site managers, operational staff
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, to the required specification and complies with all current service standards, codes of practice and legislation
  • Provide support to the Facilities Manager
