Are you interested in taking the next steps in your nursing career, working as a Clinical Matron for HHFT leading our Emergency Department at Royal Hampshire County Hospital?

The Clinical Matron has 24-hour accountability in a leadership role for quality, staff, finance and performance of their area. As the Clinical Matron you will practice as an autonomous senior within the boundaries of your scope of practice.

As a Clinical Matron you will have:

Enhanced clinical skills and provide clinical expertise both within their own clinical environment and across the organisation as necessary, to support the Organisational Strategy in the achievement of professional, operational and clinical governance objectives.

As part of the unscheduled care business unit you will have the following support:

  • Regular development time with your line manager
  • Access to Map to Management support
  • Finance and HR support to develop skills
