We are recruiting for Service Manager (Non Clinical Transport) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
To fulfil the management demands of the Non-Clinical Transport Department, maintaining a fleet of vehicles, following legal and regulatory requirements.
To undertake the day-to-day supervision of staff and to be responsible for the allocation of duties to them. Monitor and control the work of externally contracted courier and taxi services.
On a daily basis, to undertake driving duties, to convey, by use of hospital vehicles, East & North Hertfordshire Trust's goods and personnel between various locations throughout Hertfordshire, surrounding areas and other destinations.

Main duties of the job
Be responsible for negotiating and proposing Service Level Agreements for East & North Herts NHS Trust Non-Clinical Transport services, with a variety of users including internal departments, maximising income for the Trust.
Manage the resources effectively to ensure the responsibilities are delivered within existing resources.
Take opportunities to improve financial performance, reporting systems and processes.
Advise the Trust on transport related legislation, including DVLA, D of T, driver working times, dangerous goods, permits and other legislative requirements.
Appraise all staff reporting to you on an annual basis, monitoring staff performance in line with Trust policies and procedures.
