Job description:

  • WHAT TO EXPECT

The team's function is to support Powertrain and Product Engineering in achieving timely, quality product releases through the overall Powertrain 'cycle plan'.

The role involves leading and conducting activities at Whitley and Ansty Park to ensure the Team meets customer requests effectively.

You will be the main point of contact for facility issues, with a focus on analytical measurement and maintaining common processes to support Teams productive capability.

Strong technical capability, critical and analytical reasoning, robust planning, and coordination are essential for this role.

As a Facilities Engineer, you will support engineering customers, suppliers, and Technicians to ensure test activities meet required standards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Total productive maintenance (TPM).
  • Daily health checks and resolution of issues.
  • Lead and plan the servicing/maintenance of test facilities.
  • Facility fault diagnosis.
  • Engineering Hygiene through 5s methodology.
  • Mentoring and training of Early Careers individuals.
  • Ensure audit compliance to applicable standards.

WHAT YOULL NEED

  • A Level 4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience and understanding of propulsion test facilities, processes, and leading technologies.
  • Knowledge of powertrain test instrumentation and ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to challenge existing thinking positively and work quickly with attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH, and SDS.
  • A full UK driving license with a clean record.
