The Transaction Network

Houseful is building a Transaction Network (TXN) that connects consumers with estate agents, lenders, conveyancers, builders, and more. This network will help you find the best providers and services in record time with transparent pricing. We can't do this alone, so here's where you come in:

The role

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, your mission is to empower the TXN commercial teams by giving them visibility of business performance, reducing reliance on other teams for data support, and driving speed and certainty in our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Commercial Analyst for TXN, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Commercial Analytics: prepare and analyse relevant statistics across all channels to give Leadership visibility of business performance, identify issues, and develop commercial strategies.
  • Reporting and Billing: work with Finance to support the end-of-month/end-of-quarter reconciliation with external partners, prepare data for and monitor payments to Estate Agents.
  • Sales Enablement: build and manage sales performance reports (e.g. KA sales dashboards), manage the commission policy and payouts for all TXN staff on OTE, work closely with Product and Engineering to build EA leaderboard, support agent incentive initiatives (e.g. top referrer bonus, EA loyalty schemes).

Requirements

You would be ideal for this role if you have:

  • Senior commercial experience applying SQL to solve business problems, demonstrating competence with building long queries across multiple tables using CTEs, UNIONs, LEFT JOINS, CASE statements and window functions.
  • Extensive experience with BI visualisation tools, building intuitive dashboards and ad-hoc reports and using more advanced reporting capabilities such as LOD functions and layered filtering.
  • Demonstrable experience solving commercial problems by working closely with Senior stakeholders to understand commercial needs and inform next steps.
  • The ability to take initiative and get things done, good communication skills with both technical and commercial teams and excellent project management and prioritisation skills.
  • A numerical or business degree
