We are currently looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our busy team in Bristol

Salary:
competitive salary of circa £70,000

Hours:
we offer up to 3 days per week flexible remote working, with 2 days per week office based or on customer sites as required

Lead Site Reliability Engineer Duties:

  • Maintaining our cloudnative infrastructure capability through continuous improvement of infrastructure, processes, and products
  • Monitoring and providing support for services running within the cloudnative infrastructure with the ability to solve a broad range of issues that might arise
  • Developing across key technologies such as Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and serverless microservices
  • Developing across and informing strategy for key DevSecOps domains such as: deployment; security; observability; resilience; and automation
  • Working with different products and functions to help them along their cloud journey and deliver on our cloud first strategy
  • Managing programmes for concerns such as patching, access, and incident management
  • Management of SREs, covering aspects such as recruitment, HR issues, resource planning, escalations, and budget planning reviews
  • At least 2 days of teamcoordinated officeworking per week with the rest as flexible between officeworking and working from home

Lead Site Reliability Engineer Requirements:

  • Quick learner with the ability to understand and switch between new domains as required
  • Good coding skills and the ability to work across multiple languages (TypeScript, Golang, Python, Kotlin/Java)
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of development best practices and operates to those standards
  • Strong communication skills, able to facilitate crossfunctional communication across organisations
  • Able to critically analyse products, processes, and strategy
  • Capable of informing strategy relating to DevSecOps and implementing solutions to achieve longterm strategies/goals
  • Has a strong desire to improve the organisation and advocates for solutions to advance that goal
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps design and tooling
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (specifically AWS)
