We're looking for
Credit Controller to join our team in Doncaster for a 6-month fixed term contract.

Using your technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills, you will be a brand ambassador, exceeding customer expectations and providing the highest levels of AR service to customers & both internal and external stakeholder.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that debts are paid in a professional, timely manner.
  • Daily allocation of cash
  • Maintaining Credit Control inbox sending copy invoices statements etc
  • Opening new Accounts in carfacts and sage. i.e credit worthiness
  • Dealing with customer and account queries liaising with depots to resolve
  • Ability to remain focused in a complex, pressurised environment, dealing with diverse clients in a calm assertive manner.
  • Maintain thorough accurate records of all chasing activity and be able to report to Line Manager as and when required.
  • Understand each client's requirements, and respond promptly to both client and internal enquiries
  • Establish reasons for nonpayment in an assertive manner.
  • Manage queries to resolution quickly and understand when to escalate.
  • Allocate payments to accounts, complete account recs and create invoices/credits where necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a busy credit control department.
  • A track record of successful collection and debt reduction is vital to this role.
  • Have a proactive approach and work well with others, sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the overall success of the collection Team.
  • Negotiation skills and assertive manner are key to success in this sector.
  • Possess a good understanding of Excel, Word, Sage X3 and Outlook
  • Experience of dealing with clients at all levels, including corporate entities
  • Ability to manage & prioritise an extensive caseload, multi task, prioritise and adapt as per the company requirements
