The role purpose:


The Facilities Cleaner is an integral role within the Facilities Team, ensuring that our Attractions and open buildings are cleaned to the highest standard meeting both health and safety requirements and the standard of cleanliness we expect at The Auckland Project.

You will be a team player, able to use your initiative, be able to identify any problems and report them to your supervisor; you will be friendly, have a can-do attitude and be happy to roll up your sleeves and support the organisation in any way you can.

Context:


The Auckland Project is a continuously changing and evolving workplace, you would be working within a fast-paced environment where priorities are changing and no two days are the same We work as one team, supporting each other, moving in the same direction towards a shared vision and purpose.

This will be a generalist role giving you vast experience and exposure to the many different roles associated with a running an attraction.

Given the sensitivity of the information you will be handling, you will need to remain professional and confidential at all times.


Key Responsibilities:

The post-holder is responsible for the following key deliverables and accountabilities:

  • Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas
  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping
  • Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks
  • Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Cleaning gallery areas
  • Cleaning building exteriors when required

  • NVQ in cleaning

Experience

  • Cleaner in paid employment

You must be committed to good health and safety and access practice, ensuring familiarity and compliance with TAP policies, procedures and guidelines and the health and safety of visitors, staff, volunteers and contractors at all times.
