About the Job

If you're passionate about providing top-notch care to patients, you might be the perfect fit for the role of Lymphoedema Assistant at MVCC. You'll be working in the outpatient clinic, assisting over 300 cancer-related lymphoedema patients, offering treatments such as measuring for compression garments and bandaging. As part of a dynamic team, you'll have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in lymphoedema care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work independently under the guidance of a lymphoedema practitioner
  • Deliver treatments like Manual Lymphatic Drainage and neuro muscular taping
  • Provide care to assigned patients and assess their understanding of treatments
  • Have essential knowledge to raise concerns to practitioners when needed

Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential: Certificate in Manual lymphatic drainage course, NVQ level 3, ongoing professional development
  • Desirable: Registration with MLD UK, experience in lymphoedema and cancer patients, familiar with various bandaging systems and treatments
Knowledge and Values
  • Essential: Understanding of procedures, treatment plans, and confidentiality principles
  • Desirable: Familiarity with a range of lymphoedema treatments
