Job Summary:

Claim Capital is looking for a motivated R&D Tax Technical Writer who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for the technical part of the claim, identifying qualifying activities and working closely with clients to extract the required technical information to write a robust narrative.

Having a strong interest in technology or science is crucial as you will be working with some of the most innovative startups in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with R&D engineers, software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand technical information.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accurate technical narratives.
  • Review and edit content created by other team members to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest R&D tax legislation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality narratives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • At least 12 months of experience in R&D tax credits, tax consulting, or related fields, with a proven track record of successfully managing and maximising R&D tax credits.
  • Strong knowledge of tax legislation and regulations related to R&D tax credits, including familiarity with relevant government programs and incentives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
