- established supported accommodation programme in Sheffield. If you are creative, dynamic, committed and have something to offer us we wish to hear from you. Our programme offers support to 11 vulnerable women experiencing homelessness, to enable them to live independent lives in the community. More than just accommodation, we will provide a safe, secure and supportive environment in which residents can live fulfilling lives and where every individual will know that they are valued and respected. Applicants should note this is a weekend role where the core hours of post will be worked every Saturday and Sunday, with additional contractual hours expected to be fulfilled Mon-Friday on a rota basis.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Assistant Support Worker (Weekends) with The Salvation Army is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for clients.
As a motivated and dynamic Assistant Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control across every weekend (Sat-Sun) where staffing is limited.
You will work both independently and as part of a team to address client's support needs, enabling them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
You will also complete day to day activities with the clients as well as administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the service.
A commitment to the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army, competency in literacy, numeracy and ICT and a person-centred approach with a commitment to ongoing training and development.
