Up to £29,000**A Nursery in Hammersmith are looking for a Third in Charge to join them as soon as possible.


This is to work as the Third in Charge and as part of the Nursery staff team under the direction of the Manager to provide safe, stimulating and varied programmes of play and high quality education and care for young children from 0-5 years of age.


For this role you must hold a minimum of a level 3 childcare qualification and have recent experience in an Early Years setting.

The Role;

  • To support and guide staff
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in the recruitment and induction of all new staff
  • Support, supervise, train and appraise staff
  • Ensure the Nursery is adhering to the highest standards at all times
  • Assist with overseeing of safeguarding, health and safety practices and child protection in the setting, and maintaining accurate and up to date systems and records at all times.
  • To fully engage with and support good team working
  • To attend staff /planning meetings when required


 Person specification;
  • You will hold a minimum of CACHE level 3, NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • You will have experience working in a Day Nursery, ideally with some leadership experience
  • You will be aware of the changes to the Early Years curriculum and ready to implement those
  • Have Excellent time management and organisational skills
