Lifetime Services Officer

The role of Lifetime Services Officer will include carrying out chapel attendant duties for two days a week, making cremation and burial arrangements and identifying whether memorials in the cemetery are compliant and safe.
Responding professionally and courteously to enquiries from service users and members of the general public received in person, by telephone and in writing.
Administer and maintain accurate records for the cemetery and crematorium service, including statutory records in accordance with legislative and service operating procedures.

An exciting opportunity to join our cemeteries and crematorium team as a Lifetime Services Officer.As a lifetime services officer you will ensure the smooth running of services in the crematorium chapel, liaising with mourners, funeral directors and funeral celebrants.
You will respond to requests for cremation and burial bookings, ensuring statutory requirements are fulfilled. You will also inspect the crematorium and cemetery grounds to identify unsafe and non-compliant memorials.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required for this role as the role will involve visiting different cemetery sites across the borough to test memorials.
