Mobile Plant Operator - Dagenham:

Potential 45k including weekly bonus and additional weekend working to push OTE higher:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a mobile plant operator to become part of the team at Dagenham one of the largest limestone divisions in the southeast producing approx.

2 million tons of material per annum.


As part of the role you will load lorry's, train, barges, un loading trains, general house keeping duties and must be a team player able to work on their own and as part of a team.

This is a very fast paced environment where being a team player is critical to the success of the site.


Description of Team / Department:

Team of Unit Manager - 1 Production Manager - 2 Supervisors - 2 Weighbridge Clerks - 12 General operatives

Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role:

  • Load materials on to
  • Lorry's
  • Trains
  • Barges. to unload trains carry out general house keeping duties, all to be completed to a high standard whilst adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and polices.
  • To operate static and mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner
  • To maintain where required mobile plant in a good order physically with refuelling, greasing, cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and Hanson recommendations.
  • To complete daily inspection sheets of the conditions of static & mobile plant.
  • To report problems or defects of static & mobile plant to the site supervisor.
  • To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management.
  • To operate plant & machinery in an energy efficient manner.

Skills / Experience
To hold NVQ level 2 in mobile plant

To hold blue card FEL

Able to work as part of a team

Good understanding of Health and Safety

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
