Support pupils learning activities under the guidance of class teacher.
Establish effective relationships with pupils and the whole school team.
Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour by encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom.
Help all aspects of the childrens development (intellectual, physical, emotional and social).
Contribute to the planning to meet childrens development needs.
Contribute to the safe guarding, health and well-being of pupils through following policies & procedures at all times.
To support children and young people with SEND.
Teach small groups of children under the direction of the teacher
To liaise with parent/carers/outside agencies as required.
Support the class teacher with preparation of lesson resources and preparation of the classroom environment (preparation of worksheets, displays etc.)
Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour, by encouraging positive behaviour and, referring to senior colleagues as appropriate.
Escort and assist pupils on educational visits and out of school activities.

Willingness to keep up to date with professional practice by maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the requirements of the role and individual responsibilities.
