As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be part of a multi-supplier IT Delivery supply chain responsible for delivering secure, robust and maintainable IT services and solutions to enable both Digital and back-office journeys which deliver a first-class experience to our customers' interactions with our Group Risk (Income Protection, Group Life & Critical Illness) and Dental Products.


You will be responsible for enabling complete transparency of the quality controls within the end-to-end change and code supply chain.

A key aspect of your role will be to collaborate with our internal and 3rd party delivery teams to ensure the predictable delivery (to time, cost and quality) of changes to Live.

You will also ensure our engineering practices continue to keep pace with the ever-increasing demands and expectations of our business and continue to be effective and efficient.

An ability to build relationships with 3rd party providers and ensure transparency of all quality control processes throughout the Software Development Lifecycle and code supply chain to ensure a high-level of predictability (time, cost, and quality)

  • Experience of building and scaling testing capability whilst also collaborating with software engineers, other test engineers, business analysts, product owners and stakeholders to execute against our Test Strategy
  • Strong practical knowledge and experience in a wide breadth of modern test levels, types of testing and test techniques
  • An ability to work with and influence 3rd parties to promote continuous improvement and enable alignment of Software Development Lifecycles to enable effective and efficient delivery of change to support the growth of our Business.
  • An ability to instil a culture of continuous improvement and a DevOps mindset.
