Charity Retail Van Driver

We are seeking to recruit a Retail Driver/Warehouse Operative with a clean driving licence to work within a charity in East Kilbride.


3X 7.5 hours shifts a week - Mon, Friday & Saturday.

An engaging personality and a friendly demeanour are required as you will be dealing with the public on a daily basis.

As part of a retail team, the post holder will be required to work alongside existing drivers, as well as retail volunteers.


  • Transporting donated stock to and from customers/ donors' homes
  • Providing a high standard of customer service
  • Safely transporting goods to and from private residences
  • Transporting stock between out 4 retail locations within South Lanarkshire
  • Rotating sold items of furniture within our furniture stores
  • Delivering stock replenishing to our shops
  • Sorting and preparing stock within our shops
  • Adhering to daily task manager and H&S policies
  • Full UK drivers licence requires
Items required to transport are all sizes - predominantly furniture - therefore the post holder must be physically fit. They will also be responsible for the volunteers working alongside them.

This is a hands-on role where the ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers is essential, but equally important is the willingness to work with them on day to day tasks.

This is a fast-paced dynamic environment, therefore a driver with good organisational skills, professional attitude and able to cope well under pressure is sought.
