This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated ward clerk to work in the rehabilitation ward to care and support patients during their rehabilitation period.

You will need to have the energy, enthusiasm, and drive, as well as excellent professional skills in supporting patients.


The post holder will be required to provide a welcoming, professional, and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit the hospital.

This customer facing role will be instrumental to the efficient running of the Ward areas across the Trust. The post holders will be required to assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods.


The role involves not only a high standard of communication skills but also be able to undertake a wide variety of task to ensure the smooth running of the ward.

These tasks include computer work, telephone answering, filing, handling confidential information, liaising with a wide variety of members of the multi-disciplinary team.


To be able to provide a robust service; the post holder may be expected to work on a rota basis ensuring the service is appropriately covered and be responsible for admitting and discharging patients in a timely manner.

Ensuring any relevant post admission information is sent to the relevant person(s).
