Factory Operatives

Overall Purpose:

To be involved in all aspects of preparing and processing a chilled fish product to a packed frozen product.

Duties:

  • Assist in the unloading/loading of delivery vehicles in a timely manner, ensuring safety of all members on site
  • Check delivery paperwork to ensure it matches stock which has been delivered. Mark any anomalies and raise with the factory supervisor
  • Works as part of a production line to take sort chilled fish and pack into boxes
  • Operate the Trio machine to prepare fish fillets ensuring strict adherence to machine operating instructions and H&S guidelines at all times
  • Operate the Box Tipper ensuring strict adherence to machine operating instructions and company guidelines at all times
  • Use knives when preparing fish, ensure follow company guidelines
  • Prepare labels and pallet cards for boxes
  • Complete documentation to show all checks have been carried out which can be used as evidence in the event of a claim
  • Assemble boxes to be loaded into freezer ensure following manual handling guidelines
  • Liaise with the factory operatives to ensure timely processing of duties
  • Ensure adhere to quality control measures as set down in company guidelines
  • Take responsibility for any H&S matters and report any concerns to the Grimsby Operations Manager immediately
  • Ensure work area is cleaned down using appropriate cleaning materials at end of shift
  • Part of the team for the annual stock takes
  • Please note that this list is not exhaustive and you may be required to perform any other task as requested by Grimsby Operations Manager
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
