Responsibilities:

  • Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to support their learning and development.
  • Support children with SEND in the classroom, providing assistance with tasks and adapting materials to meet their needs.
  • Help to manage behaviour and promote positive social interaction among children.
  • Provide personal care and support, where required.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, and provide regular feedback to teachers and other staff members.
  • Support the wider school community in promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and helping them to achieve their potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A patient and caring approach to working with students.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience with specific learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, and Speech and Language difficulties is desirable.
  • The ability to carry out personal care as part of the role.
