Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production information according to a written program to ensure company targets are met for a controlled and cost-effective project completion.
- Establish and enforce quality and standards in projects, maintaining the company's good image.
- Ensure that schemes are designed to BDW standards, balancing building, marketing, and economic considerations, and remain competitive in design. Schemes must be produced within time limits that align with program deadlines and consider external factors such as Local Authority Planning, Highways, Drainage Undertakers, Drainage Boards, Service Companies, Local Committees, Action Groups, and Resident Issues.
- Produce engineering site feasibilities as directed by the land department, liaising with heads of departments and external authorities and agencies to ensure compliance with required standards and business needs.
- Establish good working relationships with site staff and department heads to ensure schemes are constructed as intended, encouraging feedback for future schemes to avoid wastage and improve engineered solutions.
- Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Group's Health, Safety & Environment Policy, ensuring compliance throughout the team.
- Implement new ideas and methods, continually seeking ways to improve contributions to the organization's goals and enhance the company's reputation.
- Develop good working relationships with Local Authorities, ensuring familiarity with their peculiarities and various techniques applicable to the Housing Industry for easy approvals and efficient, marketable, and economical house building.
- Qualification as a Civil/Building Engineer or equivalent in a built environment subject, with relevant experience.
- A solid understanding of house and flat construction, Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and associated legislation.
