About The Role


Sandbanks Day Centre provides a day care service for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and for older people living with the experience of Dementia.

The service provides quality care to Hounslow residents and supports them to participate in meaningful activities which are tailored to meet their needs and wishes.

The service empowers residents to meet their full potential, supports them to further develop their independence and ensures their dignity and safety.


We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Care Worker to supervise a team of Care Workers and support them in the provision of person-centred care to our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the writing of, and to implement person centred care plans, including preparation for Resident reviews, link working as well as being able to work without continuous supervision.
  • Taking a genuine interest in our residents, you will be responsible for protecting their welfare and ensuring they are safeguarded from harm.
  • To manage and develop staff with the support of the manager. Ensure you are proactive in appropriate implementation of Council policies and procedures.
  • To ensure all systems and documentation for your own work and that of the team are in place and are accurately maintained.

Your Skills:

  • Good communication using the English language. All documentation especially care plans, incident forms, medication records, risk assessments are clear, concise, factual, and accurate and completed in line with policies and procedures and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide visible and supportive leadership that empowers, motivates, and develops staff that fosters a positive culture focused on delivering improved outcomes for vulnerable residents.
  • Ability to manage relationships with colleagues and recognise the service vision and enable staff to develop to their full potential.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting and caring for vulnerable adults in a formal care setting.
  • Ideally hold an NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Level 3 or have the ability and willingness to achieve the training qualification.
  • Providing supervision and direction to the Care Workers.

Essential For The Role:

Enhanced DBS required
