Royal London is currently expanding its security and resilience team within the CISO (Cyber Incident Security Office) to enhance its threat-led security program, drive further improvements in cybersecurity, and reinforce its organizational goal of building a secure and resilient mutual.
The role of Penetration Tester in the Cyber Defence & Governance team offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team responsible for end-to-end security testing. As a Penetration Tester, your main tasks will include assessing computer systems, networks, or applications to identify and address security vulnerabilities, and simulating cyber-attacks to strengthen Royal London's defenses against real threats.
About the role
- Work closely with the Penetration Testing Technical Lead
- Assess computer systems, networks, or applications for security vulnerabilities
- Simulate cyber-attacks to strengthen defenses
- Familiar with various operating systems like Linux and Windows
- Knowledge of common web vulnerabilities and tools for testing web applications
- Awareness of cybersecurity tools such as Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, etc.
- Maintain a high level of business and cyber knowledge
About you
- In-depth knowledge and operational experience of penetration testing
- Proven ability to define objectives and rules of engagement
- Support the development of penetration testing methodologies
- Document findings clearly and communicate security risks effectively
- Continuous learning to stay updated on the latest threats and security measures
- Relevant qualifications are a plus
