Our Jaguar Land Rover dealership is currently looking for a Workshop Quality Controller to join the team on a full-time permanent basis.

We are looking for experience working within in a main-dealer workshop with a good understanding of the technical requirements needed to deliver high standards of workmanship.


What you will be doing

  • Ensure all quality control checks are carried out to manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure technicians scope of work fully addresses all customer concerns.
  • Ensure correct repair procedures and times are adhered to per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out road testing and rechecking of vehicles to ensure concerns are fully resolved.
  • Advise Workshop Control on any rework identified as required to pass Quality Control.
  • Retest when any rework has been completed.
  • Update Manufacturers Quality Control system to document Quality Control completion.
  • Check all vehicles for outstanding technical campaigns/recalls.
  • Arrange with Workshop Control for outstanding technical campaigns/recalls to be completed.
  • Ensure repersonalisation of customers vehicle prior to customer collection.
  • Ensure any areas of vehicles worked on are clean and undamaged.
  • Liaise with Workshop Control and Service Manager to highlight any technician training needs or process refinement opportunities identified during Quality Control process.
  • Be available to speak with customers about their vehicle repair where additional technical information or explanation is requested.

What you will need

  • Experience working within in a maindealer workshop with a good understanding of the technical requirements needed to deliver high standards of workmanship.
  • A good working knowledge of DVSA regulations and manufacturer's warranty procedures.
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing successful teams to achieve results is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical staff and customers.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • A valid driving licence which is free from excessive penalties.
